Yep, we like this road and then going over to string it together with the D11 heading south again. Makes a nice day out

Riding south from Guingcamp, this is an excellent road to really attack. Corners are superb, surface also very good. Although not quite World Class it is a far better road than anything else in the area and more in-keeping with a Pyrenees / Alpine road. Well worth making the effort to ride!

Tried this road on Monday 14th August - very enjoyable and worth doing again sometime. Road surface roughens half way through but still generally good - Good sequence of corners to build up a nice rhythm - thanks for the recommendation. I saw absolutely no other traffic but would think at a weekend it could busy as there are picnic areas along that road.

I did this route - Guingamp to Corlay and on to Pontivy (then back after a trip to St Nazaire) only last week two-up on my Daytona 900. It was a lovely French road. Not spectacular like the Alps, or super-curvy like the Ronda road in Andalucia. But pretty, nicely curvy, traffic-free, and long enough to get into a beautiful rhythm, resulting in a feeling of peaceful exhilaration. That sounds a bit poncey but I'm sure you know what I mean. Would I go a long way out of my way to ride it? Probably not. Would I make a detour to take advantage of it? Definitely. Would I get up early to ride it again just for the pleasure of it? Would have done, but went canoeing down the Leguer river instead. Great fun, even for a novice. Contact Lannion Canoe Club, who for EU22 will drop you off with a canoe miles upstream (Moulin Lessor I think) and let you make your way back down. Top fun and a beautiful river valley too. Best after a week of rain, not so good in a drought. Avoid the two-man canoes; they get stuck too often.

It's been a while since I was there so the memory is a bit fuzzy and I don't recall if it's any good between Corlay and Pontivy. However it's a favourite for many bikers where I live (Jersey).
